CITY OF BRIGHT consists of two sisters and a brother. This sibling pop group has a passion and a heart for music with a purpose. They are pursuing a career in music and ministry and desire to touch the lives of people with God's love.
The siblings have been playing music together since they were old enough to talk, starting with concerts for their parents, small events, and serving on their church worship teams. As they grew older, they realized God had a bigger purpose for their music, and felt the call to do more. In 2012, they started out as a band under the Band name "The Salah & Shekinah Band". In 2013, they won a National Cover contest with the Sidewalk Prophets which earned them a spot to guest star with them at a Winter Jam show in Memphis TN. Soon after that, the Band started playing shows quite often and were amazed with how many shows they were booking. Later that year, they won the Awaken Fest 2013 Battle of the Bands as well as a contest to open for Jeremy Camp in Flint, Michigan in October of 2013. The Band received a call in the Spring of 2014 and immediately, creativity went into work for a brand new project which released under the Band's new name CITY OF BRIGHT in June 2015. CITY OF BRIGHT has continued to travel and is now releasing their second studio project called "FEARLESS" in March 2018.
CITY OF BRIGHT provides a fun and energetic show, with a synth pop sound and high energy drums. They interact with the crowd, getting them involved with songs you can sing along with. They also draw the crowd into some more intimate moments where they minister to them on many different levels. They speak on issues of beauty, self esteem and fulfilling the purpose God has for your life. They challenge crowds to raise the standard and live the beautiful life God has for them. Their music has shown appeal to all ages from 5 to 75. Their hearts are to never leave a show without making an impact on the lives listening. The true heart of the Band is to spread a message of hope. They want to reach the broken ones. They want everyone they play for, to see and feel that they are loved by Jesus and that there is truly always hope in every situation.
