Southern Gospel group The Nelons has been elected by the Gospel Music Association to be inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Kelly Nelon Clark, daughter of founding member Rex Nelon, shared the news on her Facebook page Tuesday, Feb. 2, with a screenshot of the group's official notice of induction. 

"I'm sitting here in a Disney restaurant crying! I'm so thankful!" she posted, having received the news while at the Walt Disney World Resort. 

The Nelons have been honored through the years with numerous awards--including four Dove Awards for Best Southern Gospel Album, three GRAMMY nominations, 14 Singing News Fan Awards, among others--and the induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame is a well-deserved addition.
