The Christian music community is mourning the tragic loss of merchandise manager Montana Billings.
Montana has most recently been working the merch table for Thousand Foot Krutch. On July 16 the
band shared that Montana was in critical condition with a severe infection. The band posted the sad news the next day that Montana had passed away.
Both fans and artists alike have been quick to rally and express their grief and condolences to his family. Scott Stapp, for whom Montana had worked previously,
shared on facebook "Nearly 2 days ago I spent the day with him & now he's in heaven. We love you Montana, our hearts and our prayers go out to his family." The official WinterJam page
shared a tribute, which was in turn shared by artists like
Duncan Phillips of Newsboys.
The Thousand Foot Krutch crew shared
a series of 10 pictures ranging from touching to goofy, saying simply "One of the sweetest spirits we have ever known. He put a smile on everyone's face who ever had the chance to meet him. So many memories and emotions flood each of us today. Montana Billings, we can't wait to see you again."
