GRAMMY-nominated and DOVE Award-winning DecembeRadio locked themselves in an attic for a month -- the Southern Attic Studio that is, near their hometown of Blacksburg, VA. This acclaimed band with a unique southern rock flair brought back the driving guitar riffs and grit they are known for but added a bit of mandolin, banjo, and pedal steel, expanding their musical boundaries and adding further dimension to their sound.
Southern Attic Sessions exposes a more rootsy side of the band with Josh Reedy's raspy, lead vocal tones, tight harmonies and a "stripped down," "unplugged" type of approach. The result is an honest, down-to-earth collection of catchy melodic hooks with straightforward messages. The five -song project includes "Deeper Well," a cover tune the band re-created, originally recorded by country legend Emmylou Harris, as well as their new, easy-on-the-ear single "Be Strong."

I have been listening to DRadio for several years now and this is their best yet. SAS has a great, modern southern-rock sound with a twist of country. This definitely ain't your daddy's 30 year old Skynard album (no offense to Skynard). These guys are also the real deal in person. I have had them at my church and was both impressed and blessed. IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY...BOOK THEM NOW!!!!

My son, Boone and I are huge Decemberadio fans. We hosted a concert with them in Louisiana years ago and thought then... "This is one of the best Christian and Rock concerts we have ever been to.... What a show!" Since then, we have listened to their music almost every morning while getting ready for work and school from our iHome located in the kitchen. These guys are passionate about their music, fans, and God and it shows.
The new Southern Attic Sessions ep is AWESOME! My expectations for this release have been building for quite some time and I am glad to say that they were blown away this morning when I listened to the review songs. I will be purchasing this ASAP today from iTunes.
Guys... what an incredible CD! Thanks for continuing to Rock our mornings. I look forward to seeing you in concert sometime.

I have been a fan of DecembeRadio for a short time. I have seen them perform Live only 2 times. I would say with out a doubt one of the best live performing bands. Southern Attic Sessions is a true sign of a maturing group of great men doing some great work for the Lord. Every song has a universal message that everyone of us can relate too... I would say this EP has a great message for everyone. "Be stong, and life will go on". Love the Music and the band is a very talented group of artist who are the friendliest group of guys you would ever meet. Strongly recommend you purchase all their cd's and definitely find a concert near you and experience DecembeRadio Live. Nothing like it.
