The debut album from K Nikolas, "My Love To Fire" offers a variety of funk infused hip hop. The focus of the album is God's love. Many of the songs take a poetic look at understanding how God works in our lives. People get so caught up in their personal pitty that they forget that God is much greater than their sorrow. The idea was to help people get past that.
Songs like, "That Freedom" featuring Luci talk about having the courage to talk about Jesus. "Hero's Way" is about the saving grace of the Lord. The line in this song that catches our attention is that "There's only one way out... The Hero's Way...", referring to people that don't turn to Jesus and try to find their own path.
Other songs like "I Use To Love You" are a daring approach to saying that before we shed our sin, we embraced it. In a unique way, this song sounds like a break-up song, but the focus is really clear that Jesus takes our hurt and amplifies light on the devil's lies.
"That Freedom" featuring award winning Latin pop singer reached #24 on Arkansas' KXBG Top 40 radio chart in August 2010. "Concrete" was a DJ favorite on KYHY in Burbank, CA in late 2009 and 2010.
