When a mutual friend introduced them, the boys(Dave+Ty) hit it off immediately. Sharing a deep passion for Christian music, they headed into Ty's garage where they combined their musical skills and began to belt out some tunes under the band name of Me+Ty.
The boys had learnt a great deal, made a lot of new friends, and had finally finished their debut album, "Going up?". It was released in October 2002 at three amazing launches in the North, City and West of Sydney.
Soon after the launch of "Going Up?", Rich Thompson (bass) and Mike TenKate (drums) joined Dave and Ty to complete the band.
With their new lineup, the name Me+Ty was no longer reflective of the group's style or direction (or personel!). And so, the boys adopted a new name - Revive. This name is truly representative of the band, as they seek to encourage, challenge, and see revival.

Great Album!| Posted July 30, 2011
Before Revive had their full band it was just the guitar player and the singer (Dave and Ty). This is a really great album for first starting out. I think the lyrics on this album are a little better than the newer albums. IF YOU WANT TO BUY THIS ALBUM AND REVIVE'S OLDER ALBUMS, THE ONLY PLACE TO FIND THEM IS AT KOORONG.COM.
