United by their friendships, passion for music, and love of God, Byword releases their first self-titled recording the summer of 2002, marking the beginning of their exciting history in music ministry. The album showcases the band's dynamic writing and genuine heart, desiring to help the listener understand the love of Christ through the common experiences and emotions of everyday life. The songs range from the hard realities in "Hypocrite," "Life," and "Sarah's Song," to the trust expressed in "Gravity" and "Beauty For Ashes," as well as the hope and joy found in "Life Me Up" and Can't Stop Singing." "I Give You Me," a single off of the album, won the Breakaway Praise Contest sponsored through Focus on the Family. The grand prize provided Byword with a trip to Nashville, TN where they hung out with Audio Adrenaline, recorded with a major producer, and had their faces on the front cover of a magazine!
(I have no idea when this CD was released other than it was in the summer of 2002, so if you know please post. Josiah)
