On the title song, Forgiven, Aviad’s message is straightforward, yet speaks of God’s undying love for a dying world. “I am saved by the Blood of the Lamb, I am forgiven. Saved by His grace, not saved by the Law. I am forgiven.”
Another poignant track from this release is, Isaiah 53. He begins the album with this powerful Bible chapter, which speaks of the suffering of Yeshua for the redemption of mankind. Its set to dynamic music, features film-style sound design and hits the mark full-force with its listeners.
This album continues the use of specific Scripture readings that speak to Jews and Gentiles about the depth of God’s love. Songs such as Luke 16:1-9 and John 5, speak of the ministry of Yeshua Messiah and His concern for the lost. Apostle Paul (sent by Yeshua) is also spotlighted in Scripture readings that educate both the Jew and Gentile in regards to God’s plan of salvation through Yeshua Messiah.
Overall, Aviad’s sound design and lyrics are more mature on this work. It seems that as Aviad has spiritually grown, so has the scope of his music. One thing that Aviad Cohen believes in, and that comes through loud and clear in his music, is his belief in Romans 10:17 - “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
