After two years in the making, Drew Reese's new worship album Redemption has finally arrived! In his first full studio album project since joining the military, Redemption will open your heart and soul to worship and praise. Redemption includes worship favorites: Facedown, the 23rd Psalm, Doxology, Only You, and a new intimate recording of the hit song Awakening, made popular during the Passion 2010 conference.
Shortly after the events of September 11th, Drew Reese felt the call to join the U.S. military and defend the nation he loves so deeply. Little did Drew know, that his decision to join the military would alter the course of his life.
Shortly after Drew returned from deployment, the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD began to surface. The symptoms took control of Drew’s every day life and even began to be recognized by his family and close friends. This dark time in Drew's life became the moment Jesus used to heal and "awaken" Drew from this dreadful condition in a way that only our Savior can.
Drew compares his experiences to that of Lazarus in the New Testament by saying, "We must experience death by leaving the “you” behind, and making room for HIM! This Awakening is something that everyone must experience to truly let Jesus be the center in their lives."
Inspired and crafted as a tool of recovery and awakening, Redemption incorporates the heart of worship with a story of healing. Reese said his only goal on this project is to “Make Jesus Famous!”
