Following her highly successful album, The Lost Get Found, Britt Nicole is set to release her third studio album, Gold, March 27th. First single, “All This Time,” is Britt’s salvation story in song form and already making a splash at radio. Britt says of the single, “It is the story of how I met Jesus, and a reminder that whatever we face in life, we don’t have to face it alone because Jesus promised to never leave us or forsake us.”

The pop-rock artist burst onto the Christian music scene with her debut release "Say It" four years ago. The finely crafted pop collection produced 3 Top 10 radio singles, including “Set The World On Fire.” Her breakthrough sophomore release, "The Lost Get Found", debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Charts and produced another 3 Top 10 radio singles (“The Lost Get Found”, “Walk On The Water” and “Hanging On”).

Britt Nicole [Gold] | Posted March 13, 2012
Britt Nicole is back with her highly anticipated third full-length release Gold on March 27, 2012. Britt is one of my favorite female artists. She has an incredible heart for her ministry, is a wonderful role model for girls of all ages and she has an excellent singing voice. If you like Francesca Battistelli and mainstream pop music, then you'll love Britt Nicole. She has delivered the ideal album to minister to anyone struggling with identity issues. I’ve been married for almost 18 years and have 3 young daughters and this entire album really ministers to me and my family. She opens with the ultra-catchy dance-tempo title track, “Gold” which perfectly sets the tone for this excellent five star album. The title track opens with the lyrics—“You were walking on the moon, now you’re feeling low, what they said wasn’t true, you’re beautiful, sticks and stones break your bones, I know what you’re feeling, words like those won’t steal your glow…you’re worth more than gold.” My daughters are more precious than anything in the world to me and to their Heavenly Father, and this song is a great anthem to celebrate the biblical Truth from Psalm 139, that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Britt's favorite Scripture passage is 1 Chronicles 28:20 which she says reminds her daily of God's calling on her life. Hit song “All This Time” is next and has a sincere autobiographical style where Britt shares her testimony of when she was first met God and celebrates her salvation in Christ. It’s the type of song that I've come to really love from Britt's albums in the style of "Set The World On Fire." It is a great song and Britt seems poised to pick up where she left off with The Lost Get Found, with a great mix of different styles, heating up and cooling down with every song a great showcase of Britt's excellent singing voice. “Look Like Love” is a wonderful song of encouragement to live as a light and know that in Christ we can do anything. God will never fail us or forsake us until the work of the Lord is finished. Britt belts out the awesome chorus, “I want to look like Love, be more than just enough for the hearts that are broken, coming undone, It’s up to you and me to leave a legacy, if we’re all they ever see, I want to look like Love.” Britt has the gift of encouragement and every single song lifts me up. “Ready Or Not” features a guest vocal by Lecrae. The message is uplifting and mission-minded including the lyrics, “giving everything to see the lost get found” leading to the chorus—“Ready or not here I come,  I’m about to show you where the Light comes from.”

“Breakthrough” has a contemplative feel to open the song leading to an explosive chorus and some musical programming which will have you hanging on every note as Britt builds to the lyric, “I can feel a breakthrough coming.” The encouragement continues with the gorgeous ballad “The Sun Is Rising” which proclaims “you’re gonna make it, the night can only last for so long, whatever you’re facing, if your heart is breaking, there’s a promise for just the ones who hold on, lift up your eyes and see, the sun is rising.” The song that really grabs your attention is the super-hooky dance song, “Amazing Life” which rivals any hit song in the mainstream pop scene yet includes celebratory and positive lyrics instead of destructive and sensual themes. One of my favorite songs on the album is “Still That Girl.” As my daughters’ grow up, I love our relationships’ built on the understanding that God has great plans for them according to Jeremiah 29:11. Whatever happens in their lives they’ll always be my little girls. Just like “Have Your Way,” I can hear Britt’s vocals break as she sings this emotionally charged song, along with the beautiful closing ballad, “Seeing For The First Time.”

CLOSING THOUGHTS
Britt Nicole’s songs “Walk On The Water” and “Set The World On Fire” have been featured in television shows and movies and with Gold she is poised to “Breakthrough” as the premier female artist in all of Christian music. She has an infectious and upbeat musical style, layering her strong and distinguished vocals over the top of one hooky melody after another. Britt Nicole has really emerged as one of the top female vocalists in any genre and she is a great role model for girls struggling with identity issues. This album is loaded with positive grace-filled messages of hope. The upbeat and heavily produced musical arrangements on this album perfectly accentuate Britt's powerful and passionate songs. Don’t miss out on one of the most upbeat and fun albums of the year. You’ll won’t be able to help but dance and sing along with the stand-out songs, “Gold,” “All This Time,” “Look Like Love,” “Ready Or Not,” “Breakthrough,” “The Sun Is Rising,” “Amazing Life” and “Still That Girl.” Along with Heart by Audrey Assad this is my top album by a female artist and one of my top overall albums of the year. If you liked The Lost Get Found, then you'll love Gold by Britt Nicole.

Britt Nicole: Gold | Posted March 31, 2012
Britt Nicole has wowed the Christian music world since her debut, Say It, in 2007, and then continued to garner fans with her 2009 release, The Lost Get Found. Then it felt like Nicole seemingly dropped off the map and did not release another album until now. Gold is her third album, and by far her best effort to date. From the very first song I was in love with this album, and I have not grown tired of it yet. Nicole has really blown me away this album, and I love how this album feels like she really opened up and poured out her emotions. Each song is so much fun to listen to, but if you really listen to all of the lyrics, each song also has a great story or a great message.

The title track is a spectacular way to start the album off, and it automatically had me very optimistic for the rest of the album. The song is a very uplifting one that basically tells everyone that we are all worth more than gold, no matter what anybody tells us. Her voice is definitely spectacular, and she proved right off the bat that she is back and stronger than ever. She even does a little rapping on the song, which is pretty awesome! The next song also happens to be the first and only single released from the record, "All This Time." The song is really one of the more emotional ones, and made me very excited for the record the first time I heard it on the radio. Britt talks about how even in the hard times in her life she has found that Christ has been walking with her the whole time, she just had not realized it before.

"Look Like Love" follows that up with a great song that I think might be a good one for the radio. It has the potential to be really popular and it also has a really great message that talks about wanting to lead by example. She says she wants to look Christ's love so that other people can see through her how great Christ is. It is a great song that carries a great reminder for all of us. "Who You Say You Are" feels like another one of the more emotional songs on the record, which could be because of the slower beat. She talks about the constancy of Christ and that he is alway there for us in every situation.

The best song on the album, and maybe all year, is definitely "Ready or Not," which features the amazing Lecrae. I thought I loved Lecrae before this song, but the fact that he hopped on a pop song and absolutely killed it, gave me even more respect for him. Britt killed this song as well, and they definitely proved that they are a great duo. If mainstream pop artists can do songs with rappers, then why can Christians artists? This song is so much fun to listen to, and I cannot help but dance every time I hear it, even if I cannot dance to save my life. The song talks about shining the light of Christ in everything we do and just not being ashamed of Christ.

I am going to jump down to the seventh song "Stand" next, which reminds me a little bit more of her older stuff, and is definitely a great song. It talks about only being able to stand on Christ's strength, and the fact that He is always there when we need Him most to help us stand. The song is a great one, that has some of the most uplifting lyrics on the album.

"Amazing Life" is another one of my absolute favorites off this record. The beat is super fast and definitely has a beat that can compete with any mainstream pop song out there. Britt proved with this song, and with this entire album really, that she is a force to be reckoned with, and that she also has the talent to compete with any mainstream pop artist out there. Give me Britt Nicole over Lady Gaga any day!

"Still That Girl" is a dangerous song for me to listen to because I always get the chorus stuck in my head, and trust me, it is a little peculiar to hear a guys singing, "You're still that girl! You're still that girl!" I love this song, but I try not to start belching out the lyrics when other people are around...so guys beware!

I used to listen to Britt Nicole all the time in middle school, and this album definitely takes me back to those good old days. Gold is such a spectacular album, with not a single bad song on it. I love listening to this album so much, and I do not think it will ever get tired of hearing each of these songs. If you like pop music, or even if you just like Christian music, I highly recommend buying this album! Gold is one of the best albums of the year so far; Britt definitely created a masterpiece with this one.

Favorite Song: Ready or Not

Favorite Lyrics: "All this time from the first tear cry to today's sunrise and every single moment between you were there, you were always there. It was you and I, you've been walking with me all this time." (From the song "All This Time")

You're Worth More Than Gold | Posted June 22, 2013
Gold is an upbeat, encouraging, amazing pop album. Britt Nicole has some wondeful lyrics weaved through fun music.

The title song, 'Gold' is all about how God loves you, and how you truely are worth more than gold. It's about how you shouldn't care what other people think, just be yourself. God made you special, and that's all that matters.

'All This Time' is a very pretty song. God's always there for us even when we can't see him, and this song clearly reflects that.

I personally love the beat in 'Look Like Love'. It's got great music and a great message. 'Who You Say You Are' is pretty cool as well.

'Read or Not' is epic. Not kidding. It mixes Britt Nicole with Lecrae, leaving you with an awesome song filled with pasionate music and creative lyrics.

It's so cool. You would not believe how many times I've heard 'Breakthrough' in the mall. as the 6th song in the album, it continues to pull it together.

Skipping to song 9, 'Amazing Life' is crazy awesome. It's one of those dance songs that could be made into the best music video ever. Listen to it, love it.

'Still That Girl' was exhilerating performed live. When I saw Britt in concert, she sang that song with dancing mixed in. It was really dramatic and pretty, reflecting this amazing song.

Finally, 'Seeing for the First Time' is gourgeous. It's so lovely, slow, and tops off the album perfectly.

I love how Britt Nicole's songs can be popular and fun while still hiding Christian themed messages inbetween. As a 15-year-old girl, I know that it's hard to find good music, but Britt Nicole in her album Gold is surely a winner.

Britt is Gold! | Posted September 25, 2012
Artists who want to be successful understand one thing: in order to keep their fan base, they have to both record songs that are similar to what they've done in the past and add new sounds and styles to their wheelhouse. Britt Nicole wants to be a successful artist. Since she burst on the scene in 2007, Britt Nicole has filled a gaping hole in CCM for relevant female pop singers.  Gold continues to emphasize that point by showcasing musical styles that fully encompass the current mainstream pop market.  While her last album, 2009's The Lost Get Found featured many radio ready mid-tempo songs in the vein of Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, and Natasha Bedingfield, Gold builds on that sound and adds a strong dance presence to the mix.  This album is truly a pop radio fan's delight.  The title track leads of the album and is a perfectly balanced musical mixture of all of Katy Perry's singles from her Teenage Dream album. She even included the requisite rap bridge that most mainstream pop songs have today, except she doesn't need Snoop Dog (or Kanye, Missy Elliot, or BOB) to rap for her- she handles the verse by herself.  Later on she does include an Lecrae on the catchy (and hopefully second single) "Ready or Not", but this pairing seems very natural and many fans have been hoping these two artists would collaborate.  The results are sweet and satisfying and it is a highlight of the album.  There are plenty of midtempo Pop songs to continue her streak of top 10 hits at Christian Radio (first single "All This Time", "You Are Who You Say You Are", "Stand", bonus track "Straight For Your Heart"), but it is on the more experimental dance tracks that Britt really shines.  "Breakthrough" begins as a dark acoustic ballad until the chorus "breaks through" (pun intended) with a huge dubstep beats and a driving chorus.  "Amazing Life" (and its equally stellar Capital Kings dubstep remix) follows and it sounds like a twin to JLo's comeback hit "On The Floor-, except with a better vocal (It is interesting to note that both songs seem to borrow melody lines from Rebecca St. James' "Lean On", a little known album track from her 2000 album Transform) and "Looks Like Love" is a traditional CCM pop/rock track that should be a youth group mission trip theme song at some point in time.  The album closes with three ballads, which usually is a disappointment, but each of these songs take on a life of their own with varying levels of success. The best of the three is "Still That Girl"; it begins as a quirky, gentile lullaby reminicient of The Civil Wars before opening up to a full fledged pop anthem with a cool drum beat and and a souring chorus. "The Sun is Rising" reminds me of an American Idol winner's song.  However, I wish Britt would have went for the big glory notes at the end (as all good Amereican Idols do) instead of settling for a softer ending. The standard edition of Gold ends with "Seeing For The First Time", a song inspired by her recent baptism and features one of Britt's most impressive and emotive vocal performances to date (especially during the bridge).  However, while I do like the song, it has little to do with the story behind it; which brings me to the one critique of this album: it seems that so much time was spent on the melodies and production of the songs that the lyrics seem to suffer a bit.  Sure, they fit well within Britt's target audience, (teen girls) and they are quite encouraging, but most songs seem to stay on the surface level and never seem to get personal or go past the obvious spiritually. (The only real exception to this is the carrier single "All This Time")  However, it is apparent that quite a bit of planning went into the making of Gold and the generic lyricism seems to be part of the plan.  The goal with this record seems to be to encourage and inspire young people while giving them music that is relevant to them. And in that Britt Nicole definitely succeeds.

Radio Ready: Any song, pick one!  These are my predictions: All This Time, Stand, Ready or Not, Who You Say You Are, Amazing Life (mainstream)
iPod Picks: Breakthrough, Amazing Life (Capital Kings Remix), Ready or Not, All This Time, Stand, Gold

Gold of Britt Nicole Shine and Stand! | Posted July 17, 2012
for me the album is very pop, it uses a lot of sounds that can make you groove to the beat and meanwhile make you enjoy the meaning of the music for its lyrics that emphasizes the Love of God for us, example her song #allthistime, it is my favorite track to that album actually, and everytime i hear that song, it always remind me of how God loves us all...not even knowing that our life is filled with struggles and trials. Britt Nicole's Gold is the best, it promotes God in a very honest but godly way. Britt we are worth more than #gold!

Britt Nicole- "Gold" Album Review | Posted April 17, 2012
As we all know, Britt Nicole, is definitely “The Pop Princess of Christian Music”. We can find it written all over her previous albums, with songs, like “Holiday”, “Sunshine Girl”, “Walk On The Water” “Welcome To The Show” and “Glow”, she just can’t be stopped. If you enjoyed these songs, even to the slightest degree, you will defiantly love her new album “GOLD”.

She started out with the release of “Say It”. That is what got her noticed, and let me say, she really has talent. Then a little later, she released “The Lost Get Found” The title track is a reminder that we as Christian need to live to help people find Christ. And very recently she had her single “All This Time” playing on several radio stations including “Air1”, and it got lots of attention. Now she has a brand new album out called “GOLD”. I thought it was well thought through, the lyrics were very clever, her voice was golden as usual, and the sound, was extraordinary.

The first thing you see on the front cover is Britt looking grand in her gold dress that is very sparkly, and perfectly fit for a princess. The title track “Gold” says “you are worth more than gold”. It is a great reminder and has awesome rhythm to it as well. I even discovered something I really did not know, Britt Nicole can rap! All the songs continue on this “awesome” note, and on one song called “Ready Or Not” Lecrae even makes a special appearance.

To sum things up you really should buy this album, it is one of the best ones I have heard. I give “Gold” an A++!

Self Esteem. Forgiveness. Female Empowerment. Becoming Who you are.
Alot of the songs sound the same. So it's kinda one of those things that once you've heard one- you've heard them all. Buy it for your pre-teens!

Amazing!! | Posted March 30, 2012
I have loved Britt Nicole's music from the beginning! After the release of The Lost Get Found, I was very excited to see what she would do for her next album. GOLD has not disappoited me at all! I love every song on the record, with no exceptions!
Britt's heart and message that she shares are needed and a refreshing reminder of all that God has in store for His people. My favorite songs, Ready or Not (feat. Lecrae), Still that Girl, The Sun Is Rising, Gold, and Stand, are all great encouragements and calls to lead and be unashamed of who we are and who God is.

I highly recommend Britt Nicole's new album Gold! I think it will touch your heart and encourage you to stand in your identity in Chirst. :)
