I enjoyed this album. Wes, the lead singer, has really worked hard to train his voice to go really high. This was a good album. It wasn't the best ever, but it was good. I think that on their next record they should have more of a rock sound to the songs.

At first I thought the sing was a chick but then as I kept on listening I realized that it was a dude. The realy amazing thing is that he can sing real high without sounding whiney. They are kind of piano based in terms of there music, A very different band but a pleasent surprize.
Wonderful, Wonderful Buy!| Posted February 02, 2008
I bought this CD last year and still can't get enough of it! It's AMAZING. Without a doubt one of my favorite CD's that I own :)
It's original, innovative, entertaining, and very easy listening. It seems like no matter what I'm always in the mood for Deas Vail...its just so enjoyable and I think it can appeal to all ages (my 42 year old dad loves them!) and music tastes.
For sure a worth while buy! I can listen and listen and never get sick of them!

Deas Vail has an amazing soft rock sound. The lead singer, Wes, has an angelic voice. All of their songs are great but I think their best is Surface. If you have never heard them before you should check them out. It's factastic!
A Sound Suited For Everyone| Posted October 13, 2007
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this new band is actually really good. 'Surface' is the first song I ever heard by them and they amazed me, it has a very good sound, switching back and forth from rock to soft and mellow. The lead singer, Wes Blaylock, blew me away with his amazing falsettos in 'Lovers Charm' and 'For Miles to Come.' With a sound much like Mute Math and Copeland, Deas Vail provides, with their new album, a sound suited for anyone. I can definitely see Deas Vail becoming 'the' band of tomorrow.
