Two years after the FM Williams debut solo album, now the FM Williams Band is set to release a brand new EP in September 2012 titled, "Never Be The Same". As a band they have created an authentic rock sound that frames the heart gripping lyrics.
The album opens with "Let Me Dream", a fast paced song loaded with brilliant guitar riffs, thunderous drums and a phenomenal bass line that never leaves 'the pocket'. Next the song "Reach Out" enters with a drum and bass solo intro that's soon followed by guitars and vocals that demand you pay attention. Without missing a beat the third song, "Falling Down", begins with a tasty guitar riff that makes you smile as the entire band commences to rock your face off. Then an interesting thing happens, the fourth song, "Belongs To You" enters with a calmer sound than the front three songs - but it still rocks. The band slows the tempo and creates a smooth rhythm that allows the heart gripping vocals to clearly say what needs to be said. Finally the song, "Never Be The Same" comes on and can only be described as musicianship at its finest. A brilliant classical piano piece followed by haunting guitar. Operatic Rock. The lyrics are prayer-like and as the vocals grow stronger the instruments follow as the lead singer boldly proclaims "I will never, be the same again!" you sense the internal struggle that occurs inside each of us.
This EP is pure brilliance. Amazing lyrics that are sung to perfection. Each of the instruments are played with passion. It will leave you wanting a 6th, 7th, 8th... song.
