Sophisticated and complex musically, yet lyrically direct and accessible, new Slanted Records artist After Edmund is poised to take the Christian music scene by storm. Kicking off their debut album with the swirling chords of "Clouds" and the frenetic, driving "Thank God", After Edmund tackles themes of a desperate desire to feel God's presence, being honest in the midst of pain and losing everything to truly find Christ. Producer Scotty Wilbanks (DecembeRadio, Third Day) adeptly captures the crackling energy of the band's powerful, kick-out-the-slats live shows.

very nice for a first album i really like the song like a dream and come and rain down (the singles) great album buy it
Great start for a band, keep at it guys.| Posted February 22, 2008
After Edmund is an interesting band. The lyrics aren't incredibly deep, but they're deep enough to be appreciated. I have to be honest and say there's just something about this album that holds me back from fully enjoying it, and I don't know what it is. But they start their album out with a bang with their song "Thank God". And the best song on this album is "Like A Dream".
I think this band will be successful; because they're unique, just not my cup of tea for some reason. So go take a listen while you can and see how you like them. If it's past the free listening go look at the 30 second previews on itunes. That should be enough to give you an idea of their sound, and if you like it buy it, but I personally won't be buying it.

I enjoyed the CD vrey much."Thank God" was my favorite song. It is upbeat and rockin'. "Fighting For Your Heart" is also a very good song. I esp. enjoyed "Clouds" and "Like a Dream". These songs reminded me of Leeland.
Overall Hello is an excellent debut CD. I am going to purchase this CD on 02/26/08.

They aren't exactly my favorite band ... but they aren't bad either. It could easily fall in the background for me ...
I don't know sometimes the instrumentation came across a bit weird for me. Go Oboe! ... sounds like it should have been on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. I guess this album borderlines experimental on some tracks.
Looking forward :)| Posted February 20, 2008
this is just my opinion.
I thought it was good! they reminded me vocally of Relient k but with a totally different sound. they present a wide variety of styles for one Cd. which I have not seen to much and they pulled it of quite nicely! from soft rock to smooth ballad style songs, this CD has it all. I would recommend this cd to any friend. looking forward to buying it :)
