BET Sunday Best second season finalist Latice Crawford is gearing up for her highly anticipated debut release Latice Crawford on RCA Inspiration. Leading the project is the up-tempo single "There". Dubbed the "Whitney Houston of Gospel," Crawford wowed the judges week after week with her gifts, and became most popular with her rendition of "Peace Be Still".
A storefront preacher's daughter, Crawford got her start singing in her cousin's choir. The New York landscape, where she oftentimes gathered inspiration, allowed her to explore her creative capacities - writing, designing fashion and perfecting her signature sound.
"Not only is Latice an amazing singer, but she has great depth to her voice and character" says renowned Gospel songwriter, producer and artist Donald Lawrence.
Since her Sunday Best tenure, Latice and her husband (fellow Sunday Best finalist Jeff Spain) recently starred in BET Centric's newest love-story series "Almost Married," which aired in December of 2012. She has also been traveling non-stop, helping to build the Kingdom of God across the United States as well as Ghana, West Africa, and recently completing a 7 city radio promo tour in the Mid-Atlantic.
