Better Questions [edit]
by Todd Agnew | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: July 17, 2007

Todd Agnew continues to showcase his poignant songwriting skills with Better Questions. This project takes the listener on a very deliberate journey, wrestling with the idea that our questioning does not minimize our experience of God, but rather enhances our relationship with Him. It is sonically more eclectic than anything Todd has done, but still carries his signature style. Featuring epic songs like "Peace On Earth," asking whether or not it's possible for mankind to live in harmony, "Martyr's Song," focusing on what happens when we die and "Still Has A Hold," which contemplates how God can hold on to us even when we can't hold on to Him. These songs drive us to our knees before an impossibly unknowable God who made Himself known to us.

Todd Agnew | Posted August 22, 2007
It sounds completley different from the old Todd Agnew, but I like how it asks tough questions.

Food for Thought | Posted August 16, 2007
If you are looking for an Album that doesn't challenge your relationship with God...then you might not like this one. But if you are yearning to stretch yourself and step into something deeper with your Creator - you might want to give this a try. Better Questions helps us see ourselves for who we really are...we aren't perfect- That's why we Have a Savior!

What happened to the old Todd Agnew? He went for such a different sound on this album that the album just sucked.

Evolve? | Posted July 17, 2007
So I bought the new Todd Agnew album today. I don't think he has evolved as an artist at all. The song with Rebecca St. James is my favorite song and they both killed it.

I see all of these good reviews for this album and I just have to ask myself, what am I missing?
I mean the lyrics are good, like all of Todd's stuff. But his lack luster vocals leaves wondering, why i am the only one who has heard it.

I will be careful the next time I purchase of one Todd's album, if he makes another one. Because I think could be the album to end his career.

Better Questions and Answers | Posted July 02, 2007
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine excitedly told me about a new project from an artist who really gets it! When I say gets it, I mean biblical truth and theology. Well, he was right. After our conversation, I made some calls and e-mails, and got a hold of an advance copy of the new project on Ardent from Todd Agnew, 'Better Questions'.

First, let me say that this is not your typical Christian project. It is filled with angst and regret, longing and remorse, and most importantly, truth.

Todd tackles so many cliches and issues within the church, and Christian music industry on 'Better Questions', that it actually may be hard for many to listen to. My first reaction on listening to 'Better Questions' was, "How'd this get past the record label people?"

It is an honest and striaghtforward project, at many times raw both lyrically and musically, and is there a better 'growl' in Christian music than Todd Agnew's. I think not. We also get that Memphis sound from Todd and his players on this project too. Gotta love it.

I would recommend 'Better Questions' to you if you want to be challenged, seriously challenged, about how you are living your christian life.

Bill
