With television commercials, radio singles and music videos competing to tell people what they "need", it has never been more important to recognize and return to what matters most. A message that singer/songwriter Ayiesha Woods, hopes will penetrate the ears and hearts of her listeners with the release of her full-length debut Introducing Ayiesha Woods on Gotee Records.
Still in her twenties, Ayiesha brings an energetic and refreshing sound to music with the polished presentation of a veteran musician. She explains, "I don't want to be placed in one specific category. I think I represent a lot of different styles of music. My goal is to be able to put out a record with a sound that has a lot of different things for people to appreciate at one time."
With her debut album, there's no doubt she has accomplished that goal.
Introducing Ayiesha Woods does just that with something for everyone: rock-influenced tracks like her hit single "Big Enough", and pop-influenced songs like "The Remedy" and "What Matters Most", along with lead single "Happy". The project takes on a worshipful tone with cuts including "What You Do To Me" and tackles the universal language of love in the song "The Only One". Production credits include the likes of Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Shawn McDonald, Paul Wright) Otto Price (Barlow Girl, Out of Eden, Grits), Ric Robbins (Grits, Out of Eden) and David Mullen (Nicole C. Mullen).

Great debut album!| Posted August 13, 2008
This is Ayiesha's first record and what a great record it is! The hit on this album is "Happy", which just makes you feel good when you hear it. I has a happy go lucky songwriter feel to it and I plan on buying her sophomore album when it is released.
