The concept of Ellipsis came to be through the collision of a diversity of ideas and a common desire to reach lost people with the love of Jesus. Each individual piece of the album was created through individual experiences and eventually brought together to create a blend completely new and unique. The team consolidated its desire to create original music and retreated to a cabin in Bass Lake, CA to pray over the vision and begin what would soon become Ellipsis. “Renewal” was released on January 26th, 2018 as Via Music’s first single and the last six tracks were released on February 9th, 2018.
Entitled to serve as a unfinished thought or leading statement, the album aims to fulfill the vision of a wide-reaching musical extension of the church itself. The heart behind this thought waiting to be continued embodies both Via’s calling to reach the lost as well as it’s diverse and broad scope of style. This concept is one that encompasses the desire of Via to reach out to anyone who will hear the word of Jesus and never look back.
