He made us dreamers and creators and He gave us the vision.
These are not our songs. These are not our words. Every good thing within these 6 tracks is the LORD's. He inspired it all. He created it all. And we are so, so grateful that He chose us to be the vessels for this project. These are not ordinary worship songs:
Lyrically, they tackle topics ranging from the call of radical abandonment to the concept that we crucified our Savior. They also explore our dire need for a Savior and attempt to explain a glimpse of who the Father is. Their beckoning poetic nature attempts to paint pictures of Biblical topics, while remaining universally understandable. These are congregational songs.
Sonically, we are attempting to create music that gives secular music a run for its money. People are putting out amazing music in genres ranging from pop to R&B to rock, and we have been using all of that and more as inspiration. We are creating something musically unique and ambitious.
Creatively, we are trying to create through and for God's eyes and ears. We have been working with contagious creatives on fire for the LORD in an attempt to create music pleasing to Heaven.
Artistically, we are working inventively. This project is eclectic, so all the visual art with it reflects this idea. We look all around and see the beauty of creation as inspiration.
This is an extremely ambitious EP. There are only 6 songs, but they have been intentionally crafted so that each can stand on its own. Since we are creating for the Creator, we are taking no shortcuts. Every aspect of this project is an act of worship, whether we are recording drums or writing lyrics, raising money, or making album art. Everything is done for Him. And obviously, this project will have no impact apart from Him. It's all up to the Father, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
