Five-time GRAMMY-winner Steven Curtis Chapman celebrates his life story with his new CD and DVD offering, A Great Adventure LIVE Solo Performances of Timeless Hits, available worldwide in Christian and general market retail and digital outlets on May 10. The Gaither Music Group project was recorded at Gaither Studios in Indiana and hosted by Gospel Music Hall of Fame member Bill Gaither.
"It was such an honor to sit and visit with not only one of my musical and songwriting heroes, but also the man who really helped give me my start in my career as a singer-songwriter and celebrate together an amazing journey that he had such a part of helping make happen," expressed Chapman.

Steven Curtis Chapman has been writing and singing great Christian music for more than thirty years. Recorded live at Gaither Studios, Steven performs some of his best songs in front of a small audience.

Steven's sincere vocal delivery is accompanied only by his guitar, or in two cases, piano. There is no talking links between the songs.
Spiritual Highlights
In Glorious Unfolding, Chapman sings 'You’ve just got to believe the story is so far from over, So hold on to every promise god has made to us, And watch this glorious unfolding.' In My Redeemer Is Faithful and True, he sings 'As I look back on the road I've travelled, I see so many times He carried me through; And if there's one thing that I've learned in my life, My Redeemer is faithful and true.' The song Cinderella was inspired by Steven's younger two daughters, and encourages to give the time of day to our children when we can, even when we're in the middle of something else. Chapman's youngest daughter died as a result of an accident in the family's driveway. The song now combines a call to cherish parenting while it lasts with a confident hope of life in the age to come.

The latest project from Steven Curtis Chapman, arriving less than two months after his Deeper Roots: Where the Bluegrass Grows album, comes in both a DVD and audio recording format, filmed and recorded at the Gaither Studios in Alexandria, Indiana. The album chronicles Chapman’s life in song through live solo acoustic performances of some of his most popular songs, but no between song comments. Chapman has toured extensively performing solo concerts the past few years, and is very comfortable performing his songs backed only with his acoustic guitar. Listening to these songs, originally released between 1987 and 2018, reminds the listener of the blessing his music has been for more than thirty years now.

Lord of The Dance/No Better Place – “Lord of the Dance” (which he refers to as Chapter 1) was written by Steven and originally appeared on Chapman’s 1996 album Signs of Life. “No Better Place” (which he refers to as Chapter 2) was written by Phil Naish and Chapman, and originally appeared on his 1990 album For the Sake of the Call.
Remember to Remember – This song was written by Chapman and released as a single in 2018. This is the first time it has been available on an album.
