Caleb Crino EP [edit]
by Caleb Crino | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: July 12, 2019

For rising singer-songwriter Caleb Crino, music is a product of a life surrendered to God. His debut self-titled album Caleb Crino is reflective of that surrender, full of pop-influenced gems delivered by smooth vocals that all reflect back on a trustworthy God.

An Incredible First Album | Posted July 19, 2019
What You Need To Know:
Caleb Crino began getting into music when he was just six years old when his mom encouraged him to join a children's choir. He learned how to play the piano when he was 13, then started experimenting with songwriting. He moved to Nashville in 2014 to pursue his songwriting at Belmont University's songwriting program. Even though Caleb is a new artist, he started playing at various different churches, cafes, and festivals in 2016.

What it Sounds Like:
Caleb's new self-titled EP sounds familiar in many ways, but also has a new feel to it. Every song on this album has powerful lyrics that point back to God. Caleb has released a very impressive EP for being a new artist, and I believe his music will really go places in the next few years. His songs can be described as "soft pop," with songs like "All Else Is Worthless" and "Follow Me" setting the tone.

Spiritual Highlights:
"All Else Is Worthless" says, "Everything else, I'll desert it / Just knowing You is worth it / All else is worthless."  This song really reflects Philippians 3:8, where Paul states, "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake, I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ." When we taste and see Christ, we will, like Paul, realize that everything else in this life is worthless. This album as a whole truly speaks of that, and how no matter what our circumstances look like, Jesus is right by our side.

Best Song on the Record:
I loved all of the songs on this EP, but the best song on it would have to be "On My Side (Acoustic)." The song is about holding onto God's promises, and knowing that He is right by our side, even when life gets hard. The acoustics on this song beautifully complement the already great lyrics.

Final Word:
It's almost hard to believe that Caleb Crino is a new artist when you listen to his debut self-titled EP. I believe that Caleb's songs can really relate to a lot of people as they go through the everyday challenges of life with it's highs and lows. Caleb is definitely an artist to keep an eye on! To keep up with Caleb's latest music, you can follow him on Facebook and Instagram.
