After For Today disbanded in 2016, the Leitru brothers wanted to continue making music. After some regrouping, they went to Facedown Records, where some early For Today records were made, to produce their first project with Nothing Left. The six songs on Destroy and Rebuild EP was their debut.
Destroy and Rebuild has a raw and gritty sound. It boasts aggressive music that covers a lot of ground quickly, in its 20 minutes. From politics, death, and betrayal, Nothing Left brings vulnerability to their debut project. Some For Today fans will be left wanting more easily identifiable Biblical themes and content, while others will be content with this new direction.
