Life, released in 2005, is the second full-length album by British DJ and EDM composer Andy Hunter°. It may actually be considered an EP as it features only six songs, but each song's duration of +6 minutes makes up for a total playing time of 43:45.
The album's content is modeled on Hunter's own, sophisticated interpretation of the EDM patterns already established in his debut album, Exodus. These include long tracks, strongly pounding rhythms, pulsating synths, samples of power guitar chords broken down into computer-sequenced tracks, processed vocals and, most importantly, Christian-themed lyrics, as Hunter° is known as a Christian DJ. Three of the song use biblical quotations as lyrics ("Come on", from the Lord's Prayer, in the Gospel of Matthew, 6: 9-13; "Wonderful", from the Book of Jeremiah, 1: 5; "To Life, To Love", from the Song of Solomon, 5: 1), the other three feature original lyrics. In the CD's booklet, "you" in the non-biblical material is always written without a capital Y, but, as Hunter° has stated on his official website [1], the "you" in the lyrics refers to God; the songs are always intended as invocations and praises to God.
Life was released on the Christian label Sparrow Records, and it is distributed by EMI.

WARNING! BAD CD To Drive To!| Posted July 24, 2007
Fact: The British like to dance.
Fact: This album is so pumped with adrenaline, it's bad to drive to this. You'll find yourself doing 100 MPH. Yes, it's that good. "Open My Eyes" is pure adrenaline, say goodbye to coffee, because this is a pure action song. You'd expect it to be played in huge action movie scene, like a high-speed car chase.
"Lifelight" is a song that actually has lyrics, but that doesn't hinder the song, as it's still a great dance song, and it could fit right in with the club scene. The rest of the album is filled with great beats, and cool vibes. Overall, a great unique album for the Christian music industry. This album is so cool on every level, even Andy Hunter's name sounds totally cool. I just wish more people could hear him. So try it out, but don't drive to it. You'll get a ticket.
Amazing!!| Posted October 09, 2008
I really think that Andy has got enough talent to have way more fans than he does. Though he's in the millions, everyone HAS TO love him! Life is really, extremely good and the songs seem to almost have a story behind each on. I listened to his first album and thought, "man the show MUST go on". Now he's got 2 more albums i look forward to listening to. Go ANDY!

Amazing album!| Posted July 21, 2009
Even though this album only has 6 songs (an album has at least 10 songs) "Life" is amazing. Every song is good. Its only fault is that its too short. Andy Hunter has an amazing talent when it comes to making Techno music. Every song is a masterpiece!
Andy Hunter--leading the way for Christian Techno music| Posted July 27, 2007
Andy Hunter released Life in May, 2005 already built on Hunter's success from Exodus and his music's appearance in several blockbuster movies including the Matrix Reloaded along with several video games.
Although it is listed as an album, many consider it to be an EP as it is only six songs. However, Hunter weaves these songs together as one mix allowing individual songs to stand alone or to play together. Most songs are high energy and the first track, Open my Eyes sets the tone for the entire album.
Hunter expertly mixes raw sounds, instruments, and the human voice to form an extremely complex network of music that at times delights, amazes, and energizes. It celebrates life and connects with the listener on that visceral level. Hunter's expert use of all types of sound put him above many in both the Christian and secular techno world today.
