Fantastic message & Incredible energy!| Posted September 18, 2008
A great album. Fourth in the lineup, this project produced some awesome sounds. They have come a long way in a few short years. The message of christian living is bright throughout the entire cd. Packed with hits like We need each other, and Whatever you're doing just goes to show that they are continuing to relay the Truth of their faith with amazing effort. Turn on the lights, Leap of faith, Legacy and Lay down my guns pull out the stops in the lyrics, relating their decisions to sell out for God. Black coal, Sing, Eternal, Half our lives... All the songs are valuable to any listener, whether rocking out to the great sound, or looking for the christian message. Plus another great feature, if you purchase the physical album, you have access to two more song downloads, Hero and We need each other (acoustic version). Tremendous music, worth the listen.

I have to say, I loved Sanctus Real's "The Face of Love", the song, but have never been a huge fan. But when I heard this one I was amazed, it was a lyrical minefeild of food for thought.
Then there's "Half Our Lives."
The female vocals were great and it was such a summer song!
Then the album's tittle track, I wish half of society knew this song maybe then we'd be in better shape.

Great album. Heard the song and knew right away it was a good buy. A good sign of growth by the band. Not just a cd with one good song, Sing, and Legacy are also great song's, musically and lyrically. Will not disappoint.

This cd is a very good cd. It takes some listening to get used to though. They have a much different sound on this album. It's not their best cd, but its not their worst cd.
FANTASTIC!| Posted May 18, 2008
Sanctus Real has done it again! We Need Each Other is a step up from their last album The Face of Love. The melodies are soaring and will stick to you like cling wrap. The lyrics are worshipful, clever, and arranged beautifully. The CD starts out strong with its purely rock anthem "Turn on the Lights" and doesn't stop a beat until its meaningful ending track "Legacy". It's title track and the hit song "Whatever You're Doing (Something Heavenly)" are truely worthy of their play time. The band brings in the gorgeous, unique voice of artist Katie Herzig for the track "Half Our Live" and "Eternal" adding a nice touch to these soft, slightly un-Sanctus-like songs. There are certainly a few weaker songs on the album, that are still good. But for nine bucks, you certainly are getting your money's worth! Any Sanctus Real fan should own this album. Anyone who isn't a fan, you might just become one after getting this album!

The CD has a decent sound, but nothing truly stands out. In general, the lyrics are quite good, but not really moving.
It's a good CD. Unfortunately, I can't help to compare it to the very successful "Fight The Tide". I'm still waiting for them to top that. It would be close to impossible, and sadly I don't expect them to live up to it again.

I think the whole cd is a great cd. One song that i dearly love is "Legacy". Here at my college my bible study leader always tells us we need to leave an impression on the campus once we graduate. When i graduate i want to be remembered as a person who was strong in his faith and wasn't afraid to approach people and talk about christ. I don't want to be the person that sits back and just prays that people make the right choice, i want to be the person who helps them. This song goes along with that whole concept on how we are going to be remembered after were gone.
Great Music and Great Lyrics, Their Best Yet...| Posted February 11, 2008
I have been listening to the album stream here for a few days now and I find it is a much more "spiritual" album than "Face of Love" which almost seemed Switchfoot-esque (is that a word?) in skirting around Christian themes without directly stating any. In tracks like "Sing", "Leap of Faith" and "Legacy" they spill out their faith clearly and very eloquently. Musically they successfully mix both their trademark rock guitar edged songs and slower songs with a variety of musical styles (as much as in "Face of Love" if not more so) to make this a very pleasurable album to play over and over (i.e. you don't get tired of the same old sound!)
