Freedom From Human Regulations is the second studio album from Seventh Day Slumber, released on MercyStreet Records in 2001. The album is quite slow compared to their debut album Matthew Twenty-Five, but still retains the same grunge, blues, acoustic sound found on their first release. This album features an altered lineup compared to their first, with only two original members remaining. That lineup is Joseph Rojas (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Holderfield (guitar, backing vocals), Josh Schwartz (bass), and Rusty Clutts (drums).

I really enjoyed this release. A lot of the album reminded me of Creed and many of the songs follow a pattern of acoustic beginning with a heavy rock kick off at the chorus. After awhile this kind of stands out as a pattern, but all of the songs are enjoyable and deal with subjects such as regret over sin, thankfulness for grace, and frustration with the reality of sin. The band is down to earth, real and seeks to express an honest description of the struggles we all face.
