Mike's new single, Where Cobras Bite, wrestles with this idea in light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. The song says nothing of "choosing a side to root for," as if the turmoil were trivial. The death and devastation observed over the last couple of months is heart-wrenching. The song asks the listener to lay aside any geopolitical assumptions or eschatological interpretations and consider, rather, the suffering of the innocent civilians stuck between the two.
