Free At Last [edit]
by DC Talk | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: November 01, 1992

For dc Talk, Free At Last was a defining moment. Boldly irreverent and unapologetically honest, Free At Last established dc Talk as an artist to be reckoned with, a pacesetter in Christian music. Produced by Toby McKeehan, Mark Heimermann and Joe Hogue, the album mixes the hip-hop conventions of the early 90's with themes of racial harmony, sexual abstinence and love as action.

The result was nothing short of platinum, one big history-making hint of future greatness. In the years since its release in 1992, this Grammy Award-winning album stands not only as a ground-breaking testament to dc Talk's artistic coming-of-age, but also as a revolutionary turning point in the history of Christian music.

It Changed The Game In 1992 And Still Holds Up Today. | Posted August 11, 2012
What's to say what's already been said about this album.  It's fun, catchy, memorable, and nostalgic.  It has only gotten better with age and is a must hear for anyone who wants to get a feel of what dc Talk was like before they changed the face of christian music with Jesus Freak.

Old School stuff still is good | Posted May 12, 2011
I don't know what it is.  Maybe that I like old school or whatever but I like this album.  I like DC Talk and wish they were still around as a group together. I am a big fan of TobyMac as well. This group had good lyrics and sound. They were good role models. This was a good album!  I pull it out often. It has funk and is still today even modern day enough that the lyrics still work.  Thumbs up.

dc talk | Posted August 31, 2008
This cd is a fun early 90`s rap/ hip hop cd. Some of the most popular "classic dc talk" songs are on this cd. I would only recommend it to someone who likes the old rap sound or someone who really likes dc Talk. Over all a pretty good cd.
