Offering a lifeline of Hope to anyone treading the treacherous waters of unexpected grief or hardship, Sean Rodriguez delivers the powerful new anthem "Jesus Will."
Penned by Rodriguez, Ricky Vazquez and Joshua David Cockerham—the latter of whom also produced the song— "Jesus Will" captures Rodriguez's heart in the wake of his aunt's sudden passing last year. "My first thought when I heard the news was, 'That's not fair,' and I questioned why God allowed it to happen," Rodriguez admits. "My aunt was a selfless servant of God, so to find out that she met the Lord at 48 years old truly seemed unfair. I wasn't questioning God's presence or His love, but I was simply asking, 'How could this happen?'"
"Because of my aunt's ability to see God's goodness through the storm, I believe the lyrics of 'Jesus Will' are words she would have shared with somebody hurting," he says of the song's inspiration. "I want this track to offer truth, hope, promise, and comfort for those who might be contemplating turning away from God."
