Tennessee is the home base for the talented newcomers Gretchen. They will devour and embrace the true rock fan with their bombardment of music. The band explores hard rock and aggressive style gothic music in the vein of EVANESCENCE. Female lead vocalist Mia Richards can measure up to Amy Lee of Evanescence for a battle of best female lead vocalist.
Dave and Mia first hooked up in the band Serenade releasing one CD in 2000 called "Fairy Tale". They formed Gretchen in 2001 and released their debut CD "Mouth Full Of Nails" in 2002, which received honorable mention in 'Billboard' magazines annual world songwriting contest. Their latest release "In the Mean Time" brings Gretchen to new acclaimed status with the song "Fading." "Fading" is powerful with melodic gothic riffs and power of unearthly nature. The mesmerizing sound that comes from the trio should make Gretchen a household name. The title track "In The Mean Time" is a more pop style song that will draw a commercial audience.
"Let It Go" shows the sentimental side of GRETCHEN and Mia let's her guard down showing a soft side with emotion. The CD is such a jamboree of different genres of music they should be able to pull in a variety of audience personal. This is a fantastic CD that should be in every music fans collection from hard rock, pop, gothic, alternative etc. I can't wait to hear future releases by Gretchen.
