Don't compare Orlando, Florida's Anberlin to another rock band. Combining traditional rock goodness with Southern charm and an experimental edge, Anberlin gives new spins on good things without falling into the contrived or pretentious. Their debut release Blueprints for the Black Market shot off the shelves and received amazing reviews in return- their sophomore release is going to surpass the first with their newly found fans and the advance this catchy new release.

This is yet another great anberlin cd. i really dont know if its possible for them to make a bad one, but i like it alot. Paperthin hymn is one of the classic anberlin songs, but aside from that song, the rest of the songs are great!
Never Take Friendship Personal| Posted January 24, 2008
Pretty good CD. I bought it after Paperthin Hymn was getting some serious air time on christian rock radio, and the rest of the album didn't disappoint. Most the songs are catchy & quickly grew on me. Definitely worth a listen.
Audrey, Start The Revolution! is the best!!| Posted September 06, 2007
this album is pretty good. some songs are kind of slow, but after a listen or two you cant sop listening to them. The song Audrey, Start The Revolution! is a faster one and is really catchy. it was probably one of their best song until cites came out
Amazing| Posted September 05, 2007
This album is awesome. Straight up- I love it. With a slightly more poppy sound than Blueprints for the Black Market, Never Take Friendship Personal is also a much more accessible album. It has a fun sound on tracks like "Stationary Stationery" and "Time & Confusion," but also has a serious side on "The Feel Good Drag" and "Paperthin Hymn" [among others]. It isn't directly spiritual; most of the songs are about love; but spiritual overtones are present in some tracks. Altogether, an amazing listen.

k so this is my favorite cd EVER!!!!!! when i bought it i had never heard any of the songs or anything else by anberlin. i bought it of one of my friend's recomendations. i was glad i did too. the only song i don't like on here is "a heavy hearted work of a staggering genuis" and that's because it's an instrumental song. stephen christian has a great voice and the lyrics are amazing!!!! i can relate to all the songs and i think that its pretty cool to be able to do that. my favorite song is "time&confusion" but i love every song. i would def. tell you to get this cd

Great Follow Up| Posted July 24, 2007
This album is definitely a great follow up to Blueprints for the Blackmarket. In my opinion, Anberlin's best album
Fantastic Follow-up Album| Posted July 23, 2007
This album blew me away. It was the first album I got of Anberlin and absolutely fell in love with "A Day Late" and "the Runaways". It has a few fillers in there, but overall a more meaningful album than the previous (Blueprints for the Blackmarket). It seems to be more of an album about the pain and anger of relationships, but the lyrics are straight from the heart, which gives this album a bit more than regular albums.
