While SonicFlood and Delirous are influencing modern worship, one might wonder what's playing in their CD players? One disc seeing serious rotation is Tree63. This three-man worship band from South Africa takes its name from the imagery of trees in the Bible. Band member John Ellis explains, "The Bible begins and ends with a tree, and in the very middle is Christ, who hangs from one." The "63" comes from Psalm 63 (go ahead, look it up!). Although you might not recognize the name yet, mostly likely you've heard Tree63's song "Joy" as recorded by Delirious. Tree63's self-titled American debut includes that hit as well as their current single "Treasure."
