This Detroit, MI band recorded their first Tooth and Nail full-length, A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It, in St. Cloud, FL with James Paul Wisner, who has also produced Dashboard Confessional, Underoath, and The Academy Is. While making this CD, the band fought off small town cabin fever, was restricted to bicycle transportation, and even shared a lake with an alligator. But such ordeals are colorful stories for another time because these guys are simply thrilled (but not to death) with the finished product. "We're more influenced by hardcore music than anything else," Frost says of Search The City's sound. "It doesn't show so much because we're pretty pop-y in parts. But collectively, we all love bands like Jimmy Eat World and bands like that." So how would they describe their unique style? "We'd probably say progressive rock or something like that," answers Frost. - EMI

Search the City's album "A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It" is great. It had some awesome songs like "Son of a Gun", "To the Moon For All I Care", "Clocks and Time Pieces", and "Detroit Was Built On Secrets". I really enjoyed this album, and I advise everyone to buy it. It's totally awesome!!!

When I heard "clocks and time pieces" on radioU, I immediately wanted Search The City's cd. They are such a great band! They are kind of remniscent of Anberlin,so yeah...THEY'RE AWESOME!!! :-) My favorite songs are Ambulance Chaser and We Get Along Like A House On Fire.

I think this cd has surprised me the most of all the cd's I have. Right away I started to sing along with every song that I heard. The choruses are amazing, and the lyrics to each song really capture a mood. I liked how they didn't feel the need to put a slower song in there, but I really do like how Clocks and Timepieces start out slow but picks up. Great Album.
