From the moment you crank up 'Hawthorne's Most Wanted' you get transported to Red Cloud's west coast flavoured wonderland. This is an exceptionally sweet offering of humorous, real and cutting lyrics spitting out a rich patchwork of songs which are different yet all share the same credit of hitting the target every time. Red Cloud and friends move effortlessly from tales of urban ghetto life to an uplifting spiritual message full of truth and hope. Red Cloud manages to pull off the tricky business of being uncompromising in his Christian walk without coming across as preachy or religious. "Guns And Roses", contrasting the false hopes of the gangsta life with the reality of living for Jesus, is both bold and brave, likewise "Death Of A Salesman" is an epic, again cutting through the false posturing and message of many rap stars today who sell an image which is destructive and harmful. The beats are just as hot as the lyrical flow and with a support team consisting of Pigeon John, Jayo Felony, Eek-a-Mouse, Tonex and the ever present DJ Wise this is a great album for anyone with a desire for old school hooks and passionate urban anthems.
