'Modern Heart Exhibit' is the fourth joint from the crew hailing from Dallas, Texas and the long awaited follow up to 2004's 'Monkey Business'. Messers Playdough, Blake Knight and Gib deliver another collection of upwardly focussed organic sound collages in a style reminiscent of previous work. "Press On" with its sampled spoken intro/outro really grabs your attention as well as the prayerful scratch laden "Creators Symphony" but many of the tracks seem to come and go in a laid back vibe, which simply fails to excite. Not without its moments but hardly pushing hip-hop into any new areas.
