Wow! Compared to his later releases I really didn't like this!
As far as the music, background vocals and studio production values are concerned I'd give this a 1 out of 5 stars. It's adult contemporary, pop, elevator music.
His vocals always get 5 out of 5 stars! His vocals are far superior to the meritocracy they're surrounded by.
I couldn't listen past the 3rd song. I was actually getting depressed. Later works are the way to go. If, like me, you just have to get it, I hope you're not as disappointed as I was.
I don't blame him, I blame the record company and the producer. And it was the 80's.
