Her smoky vocals and emotion-packed delivery have breathed new life into traditional hymns for years. Now Nicol, one third of the modern hymn trio Selah, has resurrected her artistry as a pop/R&B solo artist. It's a musical left turn from Selah's inspirational approach- more Annie Lennox than Amazing Grace. Includes "Jacob's Well," "Resurrection," "Safe," "Crazy in Love," and more.

Underappreciated artist!| Posted June 05, 2008
Part Margaret Becker and part Natalie Grant, Nicol Sponberg is a force to be reckoned with. However, sadly, it appears that her music (like that of many other female, Christian recording artists) is not being fully appreciated.
"Resurrection" is a great CD from beginning to end. Nicol's solo sound is quite different from the sound that she created as 1/3 of the group Selah. Here, Nicol presents pop at its finest--thoughtful, catchy, irresistible.
Album highlights include the hip-hoppy "Jacob's Well, the soaring ballad "Resurrection," the dance-infused "A Better Place" and reverent "Love Will Bring You Home."
I'd encourage you to give this CD a listen. You may be pleasantly surprised!
