Shocking critics by becoming the fastest selling new band in Solid State Records' history, Demon Hunter are heading back to the studio to raise the bar again. This time, in their sophomore release entitled, Summer of Darkness, their 13 new tracks offer a faster, heavier, and catchier take on their previous self-titled effort.
Recording once again with Aaron Sprinkle at The Compound in Seattle, Washington, Summer of Darkness will hit stores May 4th and be followed up by a nationwide tour. Look for guest vocals on the album by Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage, Brock Lindow of 36Crazyfists, Mike Williams of The Agony Scene and Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch.

Demon Hunter's sophomore album, Summer of Darkness, is every bit as great as their debut album. The band's formula is further developed as they balance out hard and heavy songs with some genuinely sincere ballads like the ever popular "My Heartstrings Come Undone" and "I Play Dead." Musically, it sounds almost exactly the same as their debut album but more polished production wise. Demon Hunter's sophomore album is a wonderful musical experience that gives you exactly what you want, awesomely loud music that proves a point.

I was 14 and I had just found out that there was a christian music industry. As I was searching for something that stood out, I heard a sound. I was amazing at the grinding guitars, intricate drums and the dynamic vocals. This sound introduced me into music. I am forever indebted to it. Summer of Darkness is a beautifully dark CD filled with the contrast of growling and clean singing. The guest vocals on the album bring an even heavier edge than that Demon Hunter could of done(Beheaded). I love this cd and would recommend it to any Nu-Metal listener. I adore very track.
