Oxygen [edit]
by Avalon Worship | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: May 22, 2001

From the way-cool opening riff of "Wonder Why" to the soothing strains of the closing "Come and Fill My Heart," Avalon is back with more power pop and ingenious melodies. The trademark of this boy-girl-boy-girl quartet has always been superb singing arranged in a most unique manner, not to mention top-of-the-line studio musicians. We should expect as much on Oxygen, considering the legendary Brown Bannister produces with able assistance from Grant Cunningham. Looking for hits? Listen to the aforementioned "Wonder Why," "Undeniably You," "I Don't Want To Go," and "Make It Last Forever." This release will unquestionably add to the band's already formidable level of success on Christian radio. Old fans will love it and new ones should come on board after a careful listen to this outstanding album.

Avalon Delivers | Posted August 02, 2007
Avalon's fifth studio album stayed close to home, only venturing into new tertirory for a visit here and there. Much of what we've grown to love about Avalon, the amazing harmonies, the catchy pop tunes, the ballads and the vertical lyrics, are all found on Oxygen. The album starts off looking a little dull with the first three tracks. The phrase "been here, heard that" kept coming to mind, and then the album takes off for the next 5 tracks. The rest of the album is give or take. Songs like "Never Givin' Up," "Undeniably You" and "The Glory" are the future of Avalon! Possibly one of the best songs ever released from the group is "Make It Last Forever." All four members gave amazing vocal performance on this song. It's a fresh new sound that is extreamly high energy, which is much needed from this group. The title track is extremly cliche' ("You are my oxygen/I breathe you in/I breathe you out") but it works. All in all, Avalon delivers again, hardly ever missing a beat. The vocals are strong, the lyrics are great and some of these songs will simply never leave your head...kind of like...oxygen (speaking of cliches'!)

Love It!!!! | Posted June 10, 2008
This album from Avalon would probobly have to be one of my very favorite albums ever because i enjoy it so much! Each and every song on this album is so catchy and i love each and every one of them. You have your upbeat songs and your ballad.... pretty much what Avalon is known for doing but doing so well at! This album opens up with the upbeat song "Wonder Why" and goes all the way through to end with the beautifully written song "Come and Fill My Heart". This album I highly recommend for any christian music fan becuase it is so great! Trust me people, you'll love it!!!

Breath in Some "Oxygen" | Posted October 29, 2008
This is the Best Avalon album out their it contains lots of great Pop harmony songs. All of the songs are very worshipful and are great to sing along to. Powerful lyrics and great production make this a must for all CCM fans. This usually isnt my type of music I like to listen to harder stuff but I really like this CD. Stand out songs are "Wonder Why" "Undeniably You" "MAke It Last Forever" and "The Glory."

This is one of the few Avalon albums I own, and it is easily my favorite. "Wonder Why" is good. "Undeniably You" is probably my favorite. "Make it last forever" is great as well.
