School Boy Humor's debut LP is 12 tracks (with one bonus cut) of peppy, irrepressible pop-punk, with tinges of emo and even electronica (slipped in by producer Geoff Rockwell). Decidedly in the vein of acts like Saves the Day and the Ataris with a puckish personality all its own, the Little Rock, Arkansas, quartet serves up hooks, riffs, and lovesick but heartstrong vocals with youthful abandon.

Strong Debut| Posted November 02, 2009
I never heard of School Boy Humor until March of last year when I played 3 of their songs on Tap Tap Revenge 2. I instantly loved them. Now their debut has come out and what do I think of it? Well, it retains what I love about them and they keep that momentum going for 46 minutes. Granted, the songs do sound like generic pop punk and the lyrics seem a bit hokey but for some strange reason I enjoy their music. This is one happy album.
