This was recorded at the same time as The Song Within and features the McPherson guitar. Unlike The Song Within, though, this has more additional instrumentation. It is more akin to The Wind and the Wheat and (in some places) Beyond Nature than it is to Acoustic Sketches. It has a more polished feel to it.
Released just after the Master & the Musician: 30 Years Later tour, it was given the subtitle of "Master & the Musician 2" by Phil's management as a marketing trick. Phil and most fans agree the subtitle sets unfair expectations and that the label should be ignored and Phantasmagorical evaluated purely on it's own merits.
