Very Nice EP| Posted November 28, 2009
Joy Williams is on a roll this year with four EPs and a single already released. Now with her free Christmas EP, More Than I Asked For, Joy offers 2 original Christmas songs, and an Old French carol.
The album starts out with the title track, which is a beautiful gem that has become one my favorite original Christian songs. She completely captured the essence of the season in the song.
"A Little Bit of Love" is the second and last studio song. It's a beautiful song, and could really be listened to all year long. It doesn't have a holiday feel, which is fine. It's still a great song.
The GarageBand version of "A Little Bit of Love" is next and gives the song a more intimate, acoustic flavor to the song.
"Bring A Torch, Jeanette, Isabella" is the last song, and was actually released as a free song last Christmas. It's a nice addition to the EP, and it's not as well known, which is refreshing.
Unfortuantely, the quality on the last two songs are a little fuzzy, and I would have maybe liked to see two or three more cover songs, but overall this an absolutely great EP. Joy really captures the Christmas feeling and the best part is IT'S FREE! :D Great job Joy! You really know what your fans want!
