I chose songs that resonate with what God has been showing me and they're meaning more and more as I go along."

A Passionate Praise and Worship Album| Posted March 09, 2010
Unfortunately with many people in the world, it?s the painful moments in life that cause people to turn away from God instead of running TO Him like they should. With Christian female vocalist Adrienne Camp (aka ?Adie?) --this is just not the case.
Adie was in the process of beginning her sophomore follow up to her 2006 album ?Don?t Wait?, when she and her husband, fellow CCM artist Jeremy Camp, discovered that they had lost a baby in the second trimester. After taking some time away from recording, Adie surprised fans by returning to the studio and finishing the album. When asked why she chose to continue, her answer was simple: ?God is STILL good. God is STILL faithful. And God STILL deserves to be praised.?
?Just You And Me? is described as being more raw and organic than ?Don?t Wait?, and it?s clear right from the get-go. The first single, ?Where Could I Go?? starts the album and sets the worshipful tone of the entire CD. Adie?s vocals have matured since her Benjamin Gate days, you almost wouldn?t believe it was the same girl singing, vocally as well as lyrically. Blunt right from the start (??Out of Eden?s fall, I?m still falling here??) the listener is in for a treat?
With ?All I Need Is You?, one of the covers on the album, Adie takes a beloved Hillsong chorus and makes the song all her own. ?Beautiful Lord? is next up, yet another cover on the album, but so well made that you may not have even recognized the song. The whole album carries a very breathy and melodic feel to it, almost something you?d find reminiscent of a Phil Wickham or Leeland album, it suits Adie?s soprano voice well. The music and her vocals are never outdoing one another, and she allows the words to speak far above the rest.
?Shelter? was one of the first tracks recorded after Adie?s sabbatical from the studio, and one of the most passionate tracks on the recording. ?Seek You?, the shortest track on the album running in at under 3 minutes, is by far one of my new favorites. Powerful and to the point. ?Redemption Song? brings to mind an old style hymn and retools it to fit modern worship, I can imagine you might hear this song sung in churches --very well done (and the strings are amazing). ?Captivate Us? (an iTunes only exclusive) is one of the most lyrically moving songs on the album. It makes me wish that it would have been on the hard copies as well?it brings the album to a very calming and noteworthy end.
In ?Just You And Me?, you will find a very passionate praise and worship album, but with an underlying tone of faith and peace in the midst of a chaotic world. This album is perfect for anyone who needs that reminder that God is always faithful, but also for the person who just wants to praise Him because He is God and He is great.
Fan?s of Adie?s first album are sure to love this, but I also suggest that any Benjamin Gate fans who might have lost touch with Adie?s music and ministry give this a try. You won?t find any tortured loops or screaming vocals, but what you will find? The message of an awesome God, His restorative almighty power --and His personal love for each and every human life.
That being said ? ?Just You And Me? will defiantly go down as one of my favorite albums of 2010. Give it a listen --I have a feeling you might walk away saying the same thing.

Fans flocked to her angelic voice with her debut solo album, Don’t Wait, over three years ago on BEC Recordings. On March 9, 2010 fans get another taste of Adie with her sophomore release, Just You And Me, which features a collection 10 worshipful songs, including some well knows tunes as well as a few new surprises. Adie describes the music as more “organic and raw” than her solo debut. This album lives a bit more in the "worship" category. I’ve enjoyed Adie’s music since she was the lead singer of The Benjamin Gate and since she’s been married to Jeremy Camp, her background vocals on his acoustic live album and also Jeremy’s song “Surrender” have been captivating.
First song and lead single “Where Could I Go” is a great example of the vertical worship style and prayerful lyrics that are found throughout this great album, which I’m sure will have a spot in my top 10 albums of 2010. There is a sincerity in the lyrics and I find myself relating to Adie’s walk as a Christian as she reaches out to God. “All I Need Is You” has a Hillsong United feel to the music as it builds to a powerful guitar riff towards the end of the song, and is another standout track on the album along with the two Hillsong United covers, “Soon” and “Oh You Bring,” my two favorite songs from last year’s Across The Earth: Tear Down The Walls by Hillsong United. We recently started singing those songs at my church and I am so excited that Adie chose to record those songs, which are just beautiful. “Beautiful Lord” is an incredible cover of the song originally recorded by Leeland on Sound Of Melodies and fits perfectly on this album. “Love Come Down” leads seamlessly into “Soon,” which was written and originally recorded by Brooke Fraser Ligertwood of Hillsong United. In the last couple of years, Brooke’s “Lead Me To The Cross,” “Desert Song” and “Hosanna” have also been covered and Adie does an amazing job with this soon to be classic song which is focused on praying for Jesus to come again, “soon and very soon.”
“Seek You,” “Shelter” and “Redemption Song” are all excellent prayer songs in the style of Bethany Dillon’s excellent album Stop & Listen, which I rated in my top 10 albums of 2009. The album closes with Hillsong United’s “Oh You Bring,” another stand-out song and closes with “Only You.” When asked about the theme of this album, Adie explained "Truly learning what it is to seek the Lord with all my heart and sitting at His feet without things being a distraction to me hence the title of the album ‘Just You And Me’. CLOSING THOUGHTS
If you liked Adie’s first solo album, then you must go and get Just You And Me, which I’m sure will have a spot in my top 10 albums of 2010. This album holds my top spot for female solo albums in the past year and is on the level of the latest albums by Christy Nockels, Bethany Dillon and Sara Groves, which is amazing company in my opinion. Adie’s transparency and faithfulness comes out in every song and I have been completely captivated by both her excellent and sweet vocals and her song selection which allows for a prayerful and extremely enjoyable worship experience.

POISED AND POLISHED WORSHIP EFFORT| Posted March 23, 2010
The press materials that accompany the latest from Adrienne Camp-or Adie, as her stage name goes-keep the expectations rather grounded. The story majors on Adie as a mother and wife first, who gave up other musical aspirations for the sake of ministry and family. Thus a project like this seems a simple side project to things more important.
It's an important point to make, considering that's exactly what Just You and Me develops as. Half of the songs present are remakes that vary little from their original versions, and the rest follow familiar formulas of current pop worship songs. It's a softer, intimate listen that finds some solid vocals and easygoing instrumentation without much flair. And that seems just the way Adie wanted things.
All too often, however, the elements make for a rather boring listen. Of the originals, "Redemption Song" stands out quite well, and it's here that Adie's worship leader background reveals itself strongest. Covers like "Only You" and Hillsong United's "All I Need" play it a bit too close to the vest. In between are middling numbers that flow a bit too effortlessly into one another.
Adie's latest is nice enough, and yet it's hard to fault considering the hype machine behind her is rather silent as well. There are low expectations, at least from what we're told, on her end, so that keeps ours low as well. That's rather unfortunate when all is said and done. -Matt Conner

I just discovered Adie Camp and I loved this album !!! "Where could I go" is my favorite song so far. She has an awesome voice and I love so much her music style. She is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!!

I had the great pleasure of working with adi in the benjamin gate. I challenge any of you to go out and listen to those records and tell me u have ever heard a more true spirit! recording in south africa and knowing that something amazing was happening in the middle of all of our crazy lives at the time...priceless

The definition of true worship should be you coming before the master in praise and gratitude. This album is a love song for God who has carried us all through so much. It's a beautiful, beautiful album. Definitely worth a million listens. Well done!

The lyrics were good and the music has a good message. The album did not jump out at me enought to buy. For me personally, it is just radio music. I am not into this soft contemporary music at this point in time that is all.

Excellent- love it. Full of power and praise. I have loved her voice on Jeremy's recordings and always wondered when a release would come- and here it is. I will certainly be buying this one and listen over and over. Thank you so much Adie!
