The album, The Generous Mr. Lovewell, revolves around a fictional character we created who reminds us that we simply need to love others well. For some of us, it means that we need to put hands and feet on our ideology and rhetoric. For others, it means that we need to continue in doing well, but to not stop there. We need to let people know why we are called to make a difference. Our prayer is that this album would mobilize the body of Christ to encourage people in word and deed.
It's almost like a 'pay-it-forward' idea that revolves around the Cross. We are called to be servants to our neighbors, but if we don't share the gospel with them, it's almost offensive and we have only accomplished a part of what God has called us to do. We need to stop letting the world teach us theology about how to act or speak. We need to encourage one another to provide a helping hand to our neighbor, offer up random acts of kindness and share with others how our lives have been transformed by the power of the Cross. It doesn't take much action - or even many words - to make a difference both here and forever.

I really enjoy the music that Mercy Me puts out. The musical style in this record is a little bit different than the previous records. I think that this is one of their best albums yet.

It was good album with a much needed message that may challenge your view of what love is considered to be. MercyMe has always had excellent music especially that can be shared across generations. My Dad listens to them as well. Our music tastes vary like night and day. It would be worth to check it out whereever music is sold.

I'm not a big fan of MercyMe but I loved this album. It has a fun lively start with the first few songs. My favourite song would probably have to be the title track because it is very catchy.
Different but a good Different| Posted May 04, 2010
MercyMe's new album mixes the good old worship and the new beats that they can do really well. This Life is the introduction and it well introduces you to the new sound and then right in to a Beatle-esque The Generous Mr. Lovewell which is a great song.
Move is probably the farthest from the MercyMe style. This Life could be but that depends on your prespective.
This album is great so far.

Wow, I really like this CD. The musical style of the first couple of songs is very different from previous CDs. It is Lively and fun. The lyrics share simple truth about the reality of our lives, and how we could/should live them. Things like doing unto others as we want done to us, or like mourning with those who mourn, and rejoicing with those who rejoice. And of course the worship to the only ONE who remains forever. Praise and worship to the One who saves us, delivers us,frees us, covers our sins and stands in the gap of sin that separates us from Our God and Father.
How can we not answer the call to be the ones to show God's love to others? This CD is like a little capsule of "how we ought to live and love", and should be taken daily as a musical reminder.
