Light Up The Dark Review| Posted June 29, 2012
The Christian hip hop genre is something that I've always been a huge fan of, but this brother/sister duo are a great find! Their super catchy songs remind me of Group 1 Crew and TobyMac, who are two of my favourite artists. Look out for these guys in the future!

light up the dark sums up what the washington projects is all about. as christians we are called to light up the dark using Christ's light. they do such a good job of this with the songs they write and sing.
I really liked this album for filling a void in a style of music that really seems under-represented in Christian music. Many of the songs seemed like they had a lot of potential but maybe needed a little more work to really bring them up to stellar status. From a musical standpoint my favorite track by far is "Justus" with the second favorite being "Stay". "Justus" really stands out among the pack with an instantly catchy groove, something I wish more of the bands songs had, as I always feel the band is on the verge of something much greater.

Personally, I have never liked the hip hop genre, however I fell head over heels in love with this album. The songs are so catchy. No one would know
that this is gospel music. I give glory to God to allow such talented artists have their music distributed around the world. The album lyrics are superb and the beat of the music is out of this world. Definitely a must LISTEN!

Fantastic! They have either become better or they have retained their wonderful talent. I agree more with the first. The Washington Projects have bumped up the talent. Great sound, excellent lyrics and of course, super vocals.

At first listen, they remind me of Group1Crew....Not a bad thing, but as I have said before, I'm really not into rap/hip hop.
However, the lyrics are quite good and catchy. I would reccommend it though if I knew someone who likes this genre!
A must listen as always| Posted June 08, 2010
As usual Washington Projects has come out with another awesome album. I have been a fan since Souljahz and now it is just getting better. This album has cool beats and very relevant lyrics that will boost the soul and encourage and give hope to oneself when its needed. I am definitely going to go and check it out on itunes. Songs like Justus, You are Beautiful and Come back to me are some of my initial favorites. Keep it coming Please. Thank you.
