Luminate was formed in the fall of 2005 by two students attending Visible School Of Music in Memphis, TN. They officially launched their full-time musical career with their self-titled EP and an extensive Midwest tour including festivals, high schools, camps, all-age venues, and churches. Their second EP, Bright And Beautiful, brought a new and fresh outlook on their ministry and drive.

The production values on this release are not as well done as their more recent releases (as someone who is finding out about this CD after being familiar with thier later material). It's amazing how great the band is though even with the simpler production. In many ways the simpler production gives this release a more raw and "live" feel to it and is definitely one I will be picking up soon. An amazing band that can continue to put out moving and inspiring releases year after year.
