To be truly human is to be in community, sharing our lives with one another. Our stories are threads woven together to tell the story of God's redemption and hope. We are His story.
Stories, the follow up to 2008's self-titled Addison Road boasting the #1 single "All That Matters," finds the band once again teaming up with producer Chris Stevens (tobyMac, Sanctus Real, Mandisa). Inspired by both a myriad of personal trials as a band and the enouraging stories of the impact of their songs from fans, Stories, filled with pop driven melodies and soul-stirring lyrics, reminds us that we are a part of something bigger

Maturing in to not pop but regular CCM| Posted June 19, 2010
Addison Road had a promising debut but while some of the songs are good, most of the CD falls away from what made them exciting. The debut was amazing because of the pop/funk songs on it but you won't find really any of that here.
Good songs:
Change in the Making
Fight Another Day
Won't Let Me Go
This CD is a step in to a wrong direction while some will like it and Addison Road will gain new fans some of the old ones will probably not enjoy the more CCM run of the mill music backing the lyrics.
Very Good| Posted June 19, 2010
I really liked three of four of the songs from this album and have a feeling I will grow to like many of the others after I can hear them a few times. I thought the production on the CD was very good, with very catchy hooks...great driving music. They lyrics were also very good and something I look forward to interacting with more deeply as times goes on.

I've been waiting to hear this album for quite a while now. Addison Road does not disappoint. They always have good beats and their lyrics are amazing. Change In The Making is probably my favorite song in the whole album. They did a good job advancing with this album. I'm glad that this album is not a carbon copy of their first album. Great job AR!!!!

I liked this album. I thought the lyrics were thought provoking and some of the lyrics seem to jump out at you. You can't help but take special notice of the lyrics and slowly digest them.

It took me awhile to warm up to AR, but once I did I cannot get enough of their music. This album gives me another reason to love them more. AR is a true testimony of how trials produce perseverance, and "Stories" puts this into motion. This album is very refreshing to the mundane CCM music scene right now. "Change in the Making" is much like "This Could be Our Day," and it pairs well with "Fight Another Day" (a TobyMac cover that suits their style well) to start off the album. It is almost as if the self-titled debut and "Stories" are seamlessly entwined; like they are dealing with the same issues. However, "Stories" shows greater mastery of musical elements and songwriting. The lyrics are raw and very emotional; which is show on "Need You Now." You can truly hear the growth of Jenny and crew in these songs. "Little Light of Mine" will lyrically sound familiar, and I think AR did a great job of putting their artistry into this song. I'd have to say that the stand out song for me would have to be "Won't Let Me Go," as this song will be relatable for many people, and will encourage them as well. I was truly touch by this song. I enjoyed "My Story" which summed up the album well: "We are his story, we are his song/A beautiful melody that shows the world his love
When we’re on this journey, when we’re on this road/We are a part of the greatest story ever told." I like how AR is able to remain strong in their faith amidst their various trails, and "Stories" is an encouragement to us all.
Addison Road Avoids Sophomore Skid| Posted June 15, 2010
It is hard to hold steady in the music business and a second effort usually doesn't shine as bright as the first. Not so with Addison Road's Stories. It has a postive vibe and the music is uplifting. The lead singer has a nice smooth sound, which makes it easy on the ears. I will most likely add this recording to my CCM collection.
Clean and clear| Posted June 15, 2010
So as a general disclaimer, I havent heard anything from Addison Road's last CD except their singles. So I can't contrast their new CD to that one very well.
But now for the Review!
Listening through, I'm hearing very clear lyrics with messages that are honest and comparable to my life personally. Things like finding who we are in Christ, to the general ups and downs of life.
Unfortunatly all reviews deserve a possitive and negetive side, so... *Deep breathe*
While this CD is clear with message and has good vox. The instrumentals are lacking and rather repetative both with other songs on the CD as well as other bands that are closely related to Addison Road's style of music. Which if you are not into more complex music this would not be a problem for you listening to this CD! The music is calming and fun. Myself being a musician, I find straight forward music to be boring when it is straight through every song, but thats just me.
All in all, its a good CD. Nothing ground breaking, but good music to just chill out too and get some encouragement through. :]
Rock on everybody.

First time listening through the new album today...songs don't seem to grab my attention as much as the first album. But some of the songs on the last album took me a few times through and then I grew to love them. With such a great sound, I'm sure it's only a matter of time and I'll come around.

While not as impressive to me as some of their previous music, their new album provides a full list of stellar songs that should surely be picked up by any AR fan.
