Project is a powerful debut album from Michael W. Smith that is full of energy, excitement, and the keyboard/synthesizer sound heard all over pop radio during the time. But more than that, this album showcases the promise of a great new talent that so many now know and love.

This release brings back many memories of listening to Christian music played on radio in the late 1980's, when there really weren't many CCM artists to choose from (at least compared to now). I'm sure this release would sound a litle dated to some, but to me it is still an amazing album and always gets me signing along. I never had this LP version, but instead had the later re-release edition.

This album may be over two decades old, but it still hasn't lost it's original flair! :D It's powerful messages of 'Be Strong And Courageous', 'The Race Is On', and 'You Need A Savior' are still true to this day! :D Combined with the anthemic exclamation of 'Great Is The Lord' and the reminder that 'Friends are friends forever, if the Lord's the Lord of them', this album is definitely a classic! :D Another of my all-time favorites!! :D
