This week, we have some killer releases and a couple fresh bands that you need to hear. Things were a little low in terms of quantity recently, but as for quality, their is plenty of it. There is still so much more great music to come this year, and I am so excited for those. But for now, I hope you enjoy these new releases with me. The Christian Rock Recap will continue to update you on the best.
Fight The Fade - "Old Wounds"
Fight The Fade continues to release great, new rock since signing with the label FiXT. This is their second single with them, following "Cut and Run." Similarly, it carries a hard rock and electronic mix of sounds that is sure to impress. The lyrics portray an emotional struggle with a broken relationship: something we can all relate to in some way. Fans of rock bands like Nothing More and the new Architects will enjoy where this band's sound.
Dens- "Were (Tamed Sessions)"
Dens is currently one the most talented bands in the Christian-based rock genre. Their 2020 record, Taming Tongues, is a completely creative and spiritually deep experience from front-to-back. To celebrate the avid fanbase over this record, the band has re-recorded some the album's songs: completely stripped back and rearranged. Definitely check these new versions out and the originals, if you haven't already.
Then It Ends - "Cancer"
The Christian-based metalcore band Then It Ends is a personal favorite and for good reason. Their 2020 album, Restored, is genuinely outstanding. They are already releasing new music and you need to listen. The first of five singles to release monthly is "Cancer." The band shares, "We are hoping these new songs will resonate with all of you and the trials you might be facing. Be a light in the dark and comfort to those in need." Check out the new song. There's more to come. Listen to these new releases on our New Christian Rock and Metal playlist on Spotify and Apple Music.
