Chris Tomlin has sold millions of albums and has won several GRAMMY, Dove, American Music, and Billboard Music Awards. He is also one of only four artists in digital music history to accumulate over one billion digital radio streams of his music. He has had many major hits over the years including  "Good Good Father," "Our God," and "How Great is our God."

Tomlin has been releasing music for over 20 years, and his songs are now played in churches all around the world. His most recent project is Emmanuel: Christmas Songs of Worship. We take a look at two songs off this album below.

NEW: "A Christmas Alleluia (ft. Lauren Daigle & Leslie Jordan)"

The heavens roar, the Angels sing
All glory to our God and King!
O night Divine forevermore, Alleluia

I love the harmonies on this song because they make all the voices blend together so beautifully. It is a spectacular collaboration between Tomlin, Lauren Daigle, and Leslie Jordan. My favorite part is definitely the bridge because it is sung with such passion.

We have a one-of-a-kind Savior and this month we have an extra special reason to praise Him. As someone who highly values words of affirmation, I absolutely cherish telling people how much they mean to me. Those moments of gratitude and love have gone down as the highlights of my year. If I have reason to do that with humans, think how much more sustenance there is behind my celebration of Jesus. He is perfect in every way. He's the one and only son of God who decided we were worth dying for. Sing and dance because He is more than deserving of our praise!

NEW: "Christmas Day (ft. We the Kingdom)"

Darkness was deep
But never hopeless
Redemption came

And His name is Jesus

This song technically came out last year, but Chris has rereleased it on this Christmas album. Since the filming of this video, We the Kingdom has absolutely exploded in popularity and I love seeing the start of their talent here. The dynamic with Chris is clearly spectacular.

At this point, it's almost redundant to say we've forgotten the reason for Christmas, but it's true. Don't let Satan distract you as the holiday approaches. It's December and yes, that means presents, shopping, and parties, but it also means Jesus's birthday. You are free! Darkness has no hold on you because in His name, you have been rescued. He is our redemption!
