Impending Doom - Hellbent
Heavy metal band Impending Doom's newest music offering was originally scheduled for release in early 2021. After the long wait, Impending Doom has dropped their EP, Hellbent, a collection of five death metal songs (I suppose you could consider this an early Christmas present). There's nothing but brutal music and ferocious songwriting on this record--with no filler whatsoever. Hellbent is a smaller project. But it fits in well with the many other great EPs released this year. Each song is fantastic. Definitely worth the listen.
Bloodlines - Hevel
One of the newest bands to sign with Facedown Records is metal band Bloodlines. The band, who signed with the Christian-based rock and metal label in early 2021, released a music video for their single, "Colder," a song from their recently released EP, Hevel. The project of five songs includes a feature from Impending Doom's singer, Brook Reeves. Bloodlines skillfully blends modern metalcore with their own style to make an enjoyable and standout sound. From melodic sounds weaved within, to soaring vocals that send biblical truths home, Bloodlines is quickly rising to be a Facedown Records family favorite.
Bayless - "Sojourner"
Bayless is a husband and wife duo who garnered a lot of attention in the Christian rock scene in 2019 with their EP, Ready.Aim. The EP features songs that've charted in the Billboard Christian Rock Charts top five and has won awards and nominations from Grizzly Awards, among others. Now, they're back with their latest single, "Sojourner," a hard rock song with melodic elements that's sure to be a hit for Christian rock fans, as it's already climbing the aforementioned Billboard rock chart.
