Elevation Rhythm is an upbeat worship band from the youth ministry at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC. Hailing from the same home church as Elevation Worship, their goal is to bring hope and love to the next generation rising. They strive to provide encounters with the presence of the Lord to youth and young adults through their music.
They have been releasing music for almost a solid three years now and recently dropped their newest album. It is titled Growing Pains and is an adventure following the direction of their distinct style glorifying the Lord, with some artist collaborations along the way. We dive into two songs off the album, below.
NEW: "Over and Over"
I could never grow tired of telling You You're worthy
There are so many ways I could sing of Your glory
No, I will never get tired of telling You You're worthy
There are so many ways I could sing of Your glory
Over and over again
This week, even though it's only halfway over, has truly been a learning experience for me. To put it bluntly, I have realized how easy it is to lose faith. Starting invigorated and energized then slowly watching the spark fade away from the sidelines seems to be human nature. This lack of dedication has crippled me before through rapid burnout and ideas quickly exhausted. It gets especially problematic when I am expected to follow God all the days of my life. But that's the thing. The burden is not on us to continually renew the strength to live for Him. Once we surrender, He promises to uphold us with His almighty strength for the rest of eternity. It is only when I try to take things into my own hands that I get overwhelmed and frustrated rapidly. So, I'm extensively grateful that my God doesn't give up nearly as easily as I do. In fact, He doesn't give up at all. He will never stop providing you with strength. He believes, as do I, that you are an overcomer. Hallelujah that we get to celebrate His guiding hand over all of this forevermore.
NEW: "Fake Love"
Didn't know how lost I was
But knew I couldn't measure up
Then You came around and showed me
You were rewriting my story
You are perfect just the way you are. It's the fact we long to believe, but the very one that the Devil chooses to tear down every day. It doesn't seem to get any easier as I get older either, because if anything, the doubt compounds. But God fights for us to push past the Enemy's attacks. When I am stricken and torn down by the lies, I can't even see the right side up. Nevertheless, I know He is heaven, so I know who I run to for the truth. He never fails to remind me that I am loved; I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Repeat that with me today. I don't care how overused the verse is, it is true and I want you to say it over yourself until you believe it: I am loved. I am fearfully made. Keep going, because I assure you that God isn't done with you yet. You are loved. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
